The role will lead the development and implementation of Electrical Engineering standards throughout the Underground site, and provide project management and risk assessment expertise to all aspects of mining, minerals processing and materials handling.

 

Reporting to the Electrical Superintendent you will be responsible for ensuring all activities are conducted in a safe manner and production targets are met.

 

• Electrical Engineering degree qualifications
• Experience working in underground mining
• Effective troubleshooting and problem solving skills as well as a high degree of self motivation
• Implementation of engineering solutions for all departments and reduce the use of external resources required
• mentoring personnel in ensuring compliance with SD standard 13 Lifecycle Management through the use of the XCQ project management system
• A safety focused attitude, hands on approach and ability to work effectively within a team environment is essential
• Well developed leadership skills and the necessary commitment and enthusiasm to contribute to underground operations
• Promote a safe working environment at all times
• Competent in health and safety systems
